Position Summary

Conduct the day-to-day production activities associated with assigned duties in the Die Shop Department.

Essential Functions

* Maintain current production tooling.

* Assist with and rework tooling and process design.

* Maintaining current transfer production tooling.

* Review red tags, data and complete corrective actions.

* Troubleshooting issues with transfer tools.

* Document red line changes on tooling prints and DCN for update.

* Occasional manual machining on lathes and mills.

* Work with manufacturing to set up presses.

Required Skills

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

* Knowledge of set-up and operation of transfer tooling.

* Basic Blueprint reading.

* Basic Measurement device usage.

* Aptitude to learn manual machine operation:
lathes, mills, drill press, grinder and some required hand tools.

* Math skills.

* Press set-up.

* Forklift operation

* Working with engineers and tool & die makers.

* Problem solving.

* Will be required to complete following training:
Enpro safety requirements. Stemco SPQDC requirements, Stemco standard work tool and die requirement, and Machine shop safety..

* Tools and software required to use:
Blueprints, Work orders, and Measurement tools.

* Frequently required to stand, use hands to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and move up to 35 pounds.

* Occasionally required to walk and sit.

* PPE Required:
Steel toe shoes, Safety glasses, and any additional requirements setup for tool & die.

Required Experience

This position requires a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
